PALAZZO DEL GOVERNO
Costruito agli inizi del 1500 come convento dei Padri Domenicani, fu nel secolo successivo destinato a sede del “Civico Ospedale”.
Con l’elevazione della città di Avellino a Capoluogo di Provincia nel 1806 divenne sede dell’Intendenza di Principato Ultra, e dopo l’Unità d’Italia degli Uffici della Prefettura.

It was built since the beginnings of 1500 as convent of the Dominican Fathers, it was in the following century destined to center of the "Civic Hospital."
With the elevation of the city to Chief town of Province in 1806, it became the center of the Intendence of Principato Ultra , and after the unity of Italy, of the Offices of the Prefecture.
