CARCERE BORBONICO
I lavori di costruzione del Carcere iniziarono nel 1826 per terminare nel 1830. Il progetto fu redatto dall’Ing. Giuliano De Fazio. La pianta dell’edificio č a forma esagonale.
Utilizzato sino al sisma del 1980 quale Casa Circondariale,attualmente ospita gli uffici della Soprintendenza ai BAPPSAE di Salerno e Avellino, l’Archivio di stato di Avellino e la pinacoteca Provinciale.
BORBONIC JAIL
The works of construction of the Jail began in 1826 to finish in 1830. The project was compiled by the engineer Giuliano De Fazio. The plant of the building has hexagonal form.
It was used until the earthquake of ‘80 like Casa Circondariale, today it gives hospitality to the offices of the Intendence to the BAPPSAE of Salerno and Avellino, the Archives of State of Avellino and the Provincial Art Gallery.
